Splendid first night at SOLAM2011! Could have had a bigger crowd, and warmer weather, but some of the 'Woodstock revisited' music was really great. In particular, Mark and friends as Santana laid down some great vibes, with some silky smooth guitar, great driving percussion and rhythms, and some really great keyboard!. Tiggy York was truly brilliant as Janis Joplin, ably assisted by Andy and band - she was so full of the right sort of energy and as ever, had a great voice - we couldn't think of anyone else who could have come close. And then the amazing Innes Sibun was electrifying as Jimi Hendrix - again, who else could come so close to capturing the graceful wildness and un-matched guitar craft of the man.

Brilliant!

Had a lovely time last year, and hoping for an invite to this summer's festival! Will be sharing on Facebook. Only let down last year was that this festival didn't get the attention it deserved. So I hope to see a lot more people there this time.

that was good fun! odd set...but the weekend was goood! would have stayed for all of Sunday to but we were a mess and needed rest!
